It creates a frustrating experience because the AI throws soldiers at you not caring if they die. The economy differnece is insane and it allows the computer to have no limites (relative to the player). Overall it is just being lazy as it takes a ton of time to make AI behave in a way that a player won't just stop into the ground in 5 minutes. With those caches and the free resources they will open all tech choices AND spam tanks. This lets them spam caches early game so on top of a cheating economy they have basically free caches. They make the hardest AI "challenging" by giving them so much extra MP they can spam units at nearly twice the rate of the player and still have +200 MP gain. He uses cover well - in some places to a fault. That advantage alone could be monopolized to make the AI extremely hard to kill. On that note he can micro all his units at the exact same time. He can capture key points during a micro intense battle and will capture points that are not defended well or at all. This would only work because the AI knows the core game. If someone took the time to make strong scripts and let the AI compute the advantage of this route leading to these units over a different tech path it could calulate which units to buy to hardcounter your army. Basically it caps out at hard (relative to CoH2 Elite) but if the game had been more popular I think we would have seen even better AI that was refined over and over again for years.Īt its core the computer is a difference engine. Take a look at supreme commander's AI sometime. Originally posted by Anndy578:of course AI cheats, AI cheats in every game ever made.Ībsolutely not true.
